Is the university of virginia a good school to become an atmospheric scientist?

i live in virginia, and according to NOAA the university of virginia is the only university in virginia that offers a degree in atmospheric scientist. I need advice from someone who is currently a student or alumni of UVA and who graduated with a degree in atmospheric sciences. I would like to know what experience you gained at the university and if it was difficult to find a job after graduation or if you felt prepared for the work force. Also does the university have any type of forecast center for hands on research? this would be very helpful.please be as detailed as possible
