Starting to read the bible? asap?

Downloaded this app that reads the bible for. I am on 365 programe on the app I think I can get it done sooner I got a lot of free time. I starting on the genies (sorry can't spell). I also did a salvation prayer yesterday well I. Read it out loud with my hands folded. Am off to a good start of acepting christ? Will the salvation prayer clear all my sins also? If u have a confession prayer let me know.
