Why do hybrid drivers speed?

Thats a good question. if you start going over 55 0r 60mph, than your fuel economy drops drastically. Alot of people don't know that or dont care but if your going to spend the money on a hybrid, you may as well get the most out of it. do the speed limit and set the cruise control and enjoy the ride. plus watch how good it feels to pay cheaper insurance rates when you have a clean record instead of always getting tickets. not only that, but you put less wear and tear on your vehicle. If you want to go fast, build yourself a race car or a boat what ever your preference and go to the track. most lakes dont have speed limits go wot all day long :)
